If you can stand the style of writing, as in "old," then you can enjoy this book. I thought it was overall pretty uninteresting, but it does a good job exploring the dominant male ego. Of course, this is set against the backdrop of mythical creatures. Odysseus' desire and responsibility to get home to be with his family is almost overwhelmed by his desire for personal power and glorification... almost. Of course, he gets home in the end and fights off suitors and whatnot. Decent book.
