I can't believe I hadn't read this before...pretty entertaining account of the Holocaust through the eyes of a child. Not "The Devil In Vienna" (my gold standard for such works) but a good, informative read just the same.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this again, so much so that i definitely want to read her next books continuing the story. Brilliant writing thoroughly recommend this to others.

I liked this book, but it was a little boring, i found it a kinda average. It seemed so repeditive, how they just kept on moving, running from hitler, there was little action.

This was the very first book i ever owned, i bought it from the school book club when i was around 10 years old......i am now 41 years old and i have never forgotten it, great book.....

me and my son both loved it my son read it school as part of his project about world war2.we really enjoyed it,worth a read explains very well about life in the war how hard it was for people.
