Not as good as the rest of the series, doesn't seem to accomplish much. Still, however very readable

Absolutely incredible as always. Not as fast paced or as eventful as it's predecessors, but this I expected for the penultimate book...Shadow Isle is very much setting the scene and as much as I can barely wait for the next and last book in this epic series, it's coming fills me with the sadness that comes from the knowing that there will be no more after it. After 14 years of reading, re-reading and waiting it's a double edged sword for sure.
