An excellent sequel to Sabriel, once you start this book you will not be able to put it down. I loved learning about the lives of Lirael and Sameth. Can't wait to start the next in the series.
Excellent as always, a total cliffhanger. I could not put this book down. You will not be disappointed.

As a librarian, I totally identified with Lirael. Alas, there aren't any magical rooms hidden in my library! Her journey of self-discovery is gripping and I love her canine free magic creature. great dialogue. comedy.and a little love. my favorite of the series.

I love the foundation to this fantasy trilogy. It was intriguing, and the characters facinating. I read through all three within a week.

I felt Lirael was not as good as the first book in the Abhorsen Trilogy, but it kept me interested until the very end. This book was easy to review. 4/5 stars

One of the sequels to his amazing book, Sabriel. This continues the story and gives us fans more--more of the Old Kingdom, more of Death, and more of the Great Charters. An excellent follow-up.

Lireal is the second in Nix's Abhorsen trilogy, and I think I liked it better than I liked the first, which is saying something as I really enjoyed the first book. Nix's bluntness regarding sex and gender continues to surprise me, but what I like even more is his world-building ability and the freshness of his plots. Though the book suffers from a slow beginning, the middle and end quickly make up for it.

The other books in the Abhorsen trilogy were great, but I really related to Lirael. I also adored the Disreputable Dog. Such a great book, this was. I think it's the best in the trilogy, personally.
