I am going to start buying this book for all my friends that are single and "lonely". Some times you feel as if you're missing a piece and you try so hard for so long to click with someone else but in the end when you're single again you start to realize that you've missed just "smelling the roses" and that even when you find that special piece it doesn't mean you're going to be able to "sing" the same way.

I don't know why, but this was my favorite book when I was little. My Mama read it to me every single night, until she "lost" it one day. I found it two years later in her closet. I guess she was tired of doing the voice...lol. For whatever reason, this book just hit home with me. My daughter didn't like it, but she loved The Giving Tree! Shel Silverstein shall live forever!

If you haven't read this book recently, or ever, go read it now. If you don't have it, go to the library. If the library is closed, go buy it from your community bookstore. If they don't have it, order it online. Now.

When a wedge of us runs off, we are left feeling 'unwhole'. but it doesn't mean we just find anything to plug and fill up the gap. Shel puts across this in a very simple childlike way but at the same time carries a deep meaning.

This simple child's story is one of the best relationship/dating books I've ever read. Skip Dr. Phil, get this one ;)
