This is a gem. Bringing together almost all of the characters of discworld for a riotous and touching tale. The illustrations are now how I envision discworld in my own mind...

"My God, it's full of elephants!" "Ankh-Morpork, we have an orangutan".... above are in reference to the best Known quotes of the "Space odyssey:2001" and the Apollo mission. and it gets better all the time. actual space flight!! i really hate to say in each t.p. review dat "this is the best book i'v read yet", but its da truth. and this book is much more than that. its very interesting to read on, got that unique terry pratchett parts. less complicated than thief of time too. overall, this is a beautiful story & pure fun. and the bestest i'v read so far too.

OOPS... well, I read a different version (the illustrated one). Still, a very good book. Not my fave of the Discworld series, but the illustrations were an added bonus.

Terry Pratchett is the funniest writer I have ever had the pleasure to read. This book is not only an amazing story (not a surprise), but also a work of art thanks to Paul Kidby's inspired illustrations. Highly recommended!
