What a great book that analyzes the nature of man. If given the opportunity, will men choose money over lives? The new movie The Box seems to have a similar concept to this book. Definitely a thought-provoking book. I highly recommend it.

I read this book after reading all the rave reviews, but cant get what all the fuss is over. Perhaps some of the genius of the book was lost in its translation to English, but I was really disappointed. The book was boring, story unbelievable and the book in general a bit weird. Fortunately the book is short and can be read in one sitting. I read this book after having read a few good reviews of Paulo Coelho, so thought Id give it a try. Didnt enjoy it at all - flowery, boring and almost a lecture on how to live life. Currently being used to prop up a wonky table lol..ok, ok, its not that bad..but I think its more for the "in-crowd" reader.

U got to know the faces of Good and Evil (though it has same!!).. U will get it very interesting in the start and in middle, but the end will not put u at a point. It will let u think, as PC does always...

I rather liked "The Alchemist", but this one was a stinker. The main character was so weakly drawn that I never felt like I knew her enough to care about how her story would end. I'm just glad it did... end. :)
