Fantastic continuation of Stephenson's remarkable 3000 page opus dealing with the 50 years in Britain, France, Germany and the Netherlands that forever changed the world's philosophy, science, banking and culture. This volume is my favorite of the three in that the richly drawn characters -- both fictional and historical -- and their seemingly tenuous plots -- interact and collide and then propel each other into a completely new storyline. Jack and Eliza must be the most memorable characters in any historical novel, ever.

The beat goes on! Ha, if you've read the story that's pretty damn funny... or was that pirate deal in the first book? Uh, it's HUGE and every word worth reading.

The Baroque Cycle is a masterful blend of history, science, philosophy and politics. Execept of course, it is really comprised of three of the better novels ever written.
