This tale based on true events is just amazing at what a person can go through and come up smiling and in peace. This is one of my most favorite books. I try and get anyone to read this as much as possible. I would suggest you read Dan Millman's Peaceful warrior series first if you are going to read them because this book will give you too much information and take away from the impact of the other books.

Parts of this book were hard for me to read but I was so glad I did -- it pulled all the Peaceful Warrior books together in wonderful ways and with many unexpected twists.

I love this author, after reading the first of the saga, i could not wait to pick socrates up! to say the least i could not put this book down, with every twist in the story i became more submerged in the tale! not to mention all of the suprises i loved this book i laughed, i cried and was disapointed when it ended, i wanted it to never end!
