Aldous Huxley se adelanta no únicamente a su tiempo, sino al nuestro. Nos enseña un mundo distinto, un mundo donde la lógica gobierna. Con una visión a travez de dos de sus personajes nos muestra la sublevación de los sentimientos desde los dos lados de la navaja hacia una misma adoración. El final se merece las palmas... simplemente real...

This book received very poor reviews from people I know who had read it and so I was somewhat unenthusiastic about starting it. Less than thrilled would be the proper phrase. Once I did though, I couldn't bear to finish it. I wanted to read it again. And then again backwards. And then perhaps just read random pages. I adored Huxley's writing style and was even more impressed by his creation of what could quite possibly be a "perfect" world by simply creating new standards for what perfect means. Everyone should read this

I had often heard of this work, and actually picked it up a couple of times over the years. This time I vowed to get through it. It's brilliant, period. It took a while to imerse myself into aldous' world, but then I realized it was supposed to; he is from a different society and era then I. He finished this book in 1932, after pondering the future from his perspective I began to realize how precient he really was. Pick up the book, get through it, you will be glad you did.

Weirdest book I have ever read. I had to force myself to finish it. It was about scienst and the future. Who ever heard of 96 humans being created from one embryo or people created for their job and are unable to get real disease? Who ever heard of people have sex with anyone they wish and being looked down upon when they don't have an active sex life? I could not stand this book, but I had to read it for school.

Fascinating story. Remarkable how accurate its predictions! Frightening to think that it may become completely true! Great satire. Last chapter or two was/were frankly monotonous compared to the previous chapters.

This turn-of-the-century, science-fiction novel draws back to the most loved ways of life and extinguishes them. Family, love, friendship, religion, happiness- None of them exist, but instead are replaced by greed, sex, mindless-consuming and fake happiness diverted with pills as the modern drugs to make you high. One man sees this new world as what it is, and tries to change it but instead loses himself in it. Will the ultimate end for this man be the ultimate end for thie brave new world?

Clearly a classic work of distopian literature. Between 'BNW' and '1984,' it is difficult to say which vision is closer to the truth. Personally I have always felt that Orwell was closer to what society is becoming, but Huxley had some insightful observations as well. Both need to be read by all.

Amazing novel, really what can I say. the ending gave me chills. I was nice and short, because I think if the story went on for 700 pages it would not have been as good. Aldous Huxley predicted just what was going to happen, and as you read it you can see each example of conditioning and ignorance relates to something today. Brave New World Revisited was really good to.

Every time I reread this book I enjoy it more. Only after going to London did I realize that "Charing T" was a play on Charing Cross, etc The scary thing is the last time I read it I thought the society in the book worked pretty well and wasn't a bad idea.... this is a great book - the frightening thing is today many things about that society seem pretty reasonable and not half bad.the funny thing I did not notice on first reading is all the replacements of Christian symbols with Ford Model T(eg Charing T rather than Charing Cross!)

This was a really good book. I have friend who says it is the best book she has ever read. While I will not go that far, I would call it a must read. Not only is it a classic, it has a lot of social implications that are still relevant today, and gives the reader a lot to think about. The first 50 pages are a little slow, but the last 100 are amazing. Great book.

An excellent book that forces one to look at what the meaning of thought, and free will are. Also in a small way it looks at the dehumanizing of the work force as it becomes more and more specialized.

A most amazing book. Written in the early part of the 1900's about a dystopian earth where things we(as in the world population/government) have become normal everyday life, people are grown, and not born in vitro as normal. Sex is emotionless, meaningless. Certain people named savages, are ones who live in camps in what would be the US. To make it short, and not give into what the total plot is about, it's a great book for those who like to read what the world can be in the future; how the world is heading in some strange way.
