I found it really hard to stay engaged with this book and it took me forever to finish it. It's too unfocused.

As the sequel to 'The Great and Secret Show,' I was obliged to read it. This was the first book I started by Barker-- at too young an age I must say-- and it sickened me with some of its sexual elements, so much so that I put it down originally. but returning to it, I've found it to be an amazing novel, and the first I've read in which Clive's sexual orientation, homosexual, shines on through. A great read, but like it's prequel it does contain sex, gore, and language. Also note that this is NOT for homophobic readers.

Wow, even Better than The Great and Secret Show, which was hard to beat. I want the Nuncio!
