Ehh. Pratchett does a play on Phantom of the Opera, but instead of making it more of a spoof, it comes across as almost fanfiction-- the characters are there, and his characters have joined with them as well. It is amusing at first, but later feels worn-down and beaten. The characters weren't particularly enthralling, and although the humor was good, it wasn't good enough to make up for the rest of the misgivings. Just something I had a hard time getting into.

This is a Phantom of the Opera Pratchett way - MY FAVOURITE DISCWORLD NOVEL! they don't come better than that - witty, hilarious, full of adventure...

In this book I actually feel for Agnes and wish that she would let free Perdita to get rid of the airhead blonde. Nanny and Granny as per are just wonderful in here. Not forgetting Greebo, now that's who I'd like to meet in human form lol! Then again he might be a little too scarey!
