Terry Pratchett's take on religious affairs with monotheism versus polytheism (or is it Christian versus GrecoRomans in the end?). Still a very funny read with "underlying" pokes and jokes against all sides. One of the best in Discworld series.

Probably one of the best books I read. The story isn't quite as good as some of the other novels I read by Terry Pratchett but the humor is probably some of the best philosophical humor I read in any book.

The book disects religion in a very humorous way without offending any community. A fictious novel about a fictious world throwing light on the way religion is misinterpretted in the real world

A one-off book in the Discworld series, This tells the story of Brutha, a not-so-bright member of the Omnian church who ends up becoming the only true believer left in Om. Oh, and Om tags along with him, in the form of a turtle.

Nice, quick, funny and entertaining read - just what you'd need on a plane. And unlike the (never finished reading) Moving Pictures - this one least nicely illutrates why everyone and their brother is raving about Pratchett so much.

I read a couple reviews that say if you are deeply religious, you shouldn't read this book... Well, I am a Christian and I can tell you that this book is fantastic. Everything doesn't have to be an alegory for something else. The book is a fantastic read and left me laughing out loud several times. I'm a huge fan of Terry Pratchet and this book is only my second in the Discworld series. I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Complete Heresy. But if you can't stand the heresy, get out of the church.A great satire of religion. And yet another proof that belief in a church is not the same as belief in God. More content than most Pratchett, but not too much. Great fun!
