It's lovely to get meet both Christopher and Cat again, I particularly enjoyed the look at Christopher Chant as a teenager. The second volume was fun as we saw other worlds and the Chrestomanci at work, but, I missed our two young nine lifers. Conrad's Fate felt a tiny bit odd in the first person, but I liked Conrad and adored Christopher. The Pinhoe Egg was also very good, but you can expect that from a book with a cat named Nutcase. I found both Marianne's and Cat's parts very interesting. Watch out for the bootboys at Chrestomanci castle, LOL.

I read this in parts. FIrst Conrad's Fate and then the Pinhoe Egg. Both are good, but the second, in my mind, is more deliciously complicated. It is most definitely worth the read.
