This happens to be reader's least favorite book of the Chronicles of Narnia. I found that I did enjoy the other books more but this book is still one of my favorite books. It is well written using C.S. Lewis' wonderful unique style and is interwoven with immense classic mythology. This story is necessary to build up the other stories after this one and is all the same very interesting. We meet new characters and some of them will continue into the other books and some old characters will leave the series. It is one of those books that creeps up and you and before you know it, you're done.

I like the book, but the movie made me mad. If you read the book, you may get mad at the movie too.

Although it seemed like this book didn't have as much character development as the first two books (and the book didn't seem to really be focused on Prince Caspian after all) reading it does make me want to read the rest of the books in the Chronicles. It was also an interesting way to find out more about Narnia, even though I was frustrated at not knowing very much about the time when Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy reigned in Narnia--it was only illuded to in their conversations.

Oh, to be Lucy, and follow Aslan despite no one else seeing him or believing that I do....And, I was thrilled to find the "Lost" tie-in!

along with Narnia, and others of C S Lewis, great book. i look foward to reading more of the series and the movie that will be comming out soon.

To be honest, I don't remember much of this book. It was good, but not outstanding, despite Caspian being quite the soldier. He's just too good to be true.

I saw a preview for the movie, so I read the book one night. I read it in 3 hours. It was OK, but not great. It definitely held my interest, but was a bit shallow. Oddly enough I had no memory of the story from reading it in 1985.
