Several books are in this series by Betty MacDonald. Mrs Piggle-Wiggle is awesome! She can get to the root of the problem, she's magical, and her house is upside down with treasure hidden in it!

I don't care how old you are, these stories are just too cute. I read them over and over again when I was younger and now I enjoy reading them aloud to little ones.

I'm actually sorry to say that I preferred this to the first Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle book. Or maybe I just like the magical cures in some cases. Anywho, this is a delightful addition to the wonders of Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle and is ful of thoroughly entertaining and hilarious stories that gently nudge everyone (not just kids!) into recognizing not-so-good habits. It's sweet, friendly, and never condemns, though it will always bring a smile.

Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle is the fucking bomb. I would be a much less neurotic, impolite beast if I'd known Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle in real life. Oh, and incidentally, I don't give a crap that this was written for 8-year-olds. I loved it when I was 8, and I will love it when I'm 68. So there.

While this is not quite the best collection of Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle adventures, it certainly is worthy to have around! Here, the characters--both kids, adults, and even Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle--are surprisingly three-dimensional and tons of fun. I know that some people will complain about that these magical cures stunt the childrens' personal growth and confidence, but even if you call me old-fashioned I still say that manners and respect are still very much important; these stories bring that point across in a most charming manner. Great for read-alouds.

As much as I love the Piggle-Wiggle books containing the magic, I could not help but be touched by the return to good ol' child psychology where Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle, now a farm owner in the country, takes in problem children for the necessary amount of time it takes to cure them of lousy habits. Honestly, while the other books are full of whimsical charm, this one seemed to be the most down-to-earth of the bunch and finally allowed Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle to become an actual character rather than just the lady on the other end of the phone. This is Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle in reality and the tales are delightful!

Great read alouds! Mrs. Piggle Wiggle is an amazing ole gal! She always whips kids into shape in some sly and interesting way. Sort of like Mary Poppins only stranger and well... you just have to read them to find out. They're fun!

Incredibly funny. This is probably the funniest book I've read with my son. If you have a child age 6 to 12, sit down and read this book to him or her. You are both likely to laugh until you cry.

Well, actually, Mrs. Piggle Wiggle books were read to me by my 1-2 grade teacher, but I still remember how I laughed at them.

Read this with my son after buying it for a dime at a garage sale. It thoroughly entertained my 6 year old, so much so that he (a budding avid reader) started re-reading it himself soon after we finished it. But he likes my reading it better because I "do a better job with the voices". If you have a grade schooler who likes animals and funny stories, give it a shot. God Bless.

I believe it was my third grade teacher that began reading these to me, and instantly I was hooked. Betty MacDonald is an authoress who can write to both adults and children with fine hilarity, and her character Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle makes Mary Poppins look like a moron. I find her the progeny to the Love and Logic system. The book is filled with multiple stories about kids with various, common behavior problems. Concerned parents call up Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle who then doles out a hilarious but effective cure. It's fairly scripted, but the stories are cute and funny just the same.
