Princess Amelia Mignonette Grimaldi Thermopolis Renaldo may seem the luckiest girl ever. She's a princess, for starters. She also lives in New York City. I love Meg Cabot's Princess Diaries series. The books are easy to read, quick to finish, and are genuinely funny. This one is (so far) my favorite.

I find this book intriguingly mortifying, because I've been there, sans crown. You constantly want to go in there and knock Mia over the head for her obsessive "I'm in love for life" kind of behaviour, but she does even out, and that's the part of being fifteen we all remember and desperately hope to forget. Cute, but again, too little substance in a book. It only follows a couple of months of her year, which is unnecessary.
