I lived in South London just after leaving univ and started to look for a job. I also worked two years as a temp (not in London), so you can imagine how struck I was by this novel. I've actually never read anything that reflects my life in London as well as this book. Like Sasha, the main character, I lived in Lambeth, had no money, broke up with my boyfriend etc. Absolutely worth reading if you're temping, if you live in London, if you're looking for a job or just want to have a good time!

Ok, so chick lit ain't my style. I was stuck needing a read, and that was what was avaliable. Anyway, it was quite readable, fairly entertaining, totally predictable, the girl got the right man in the end (the one who had been there from the very beginning but totally under the radar from our heroine for some reason). All in all, probably the very formula which makes for great chick lit. It was good for filling in a few hours, but a keeper on the bookshelf it isn't!
