The best book ever written on a programming language. An absolute joy to read. Concise, precise and beautiful. Just as great code should be. I learned to program in C from the first edition --reading the book, working the exercises, internalizing the approach. Just fantastic. Skip all the junk books and pick up this thin, classic volume.
