My introduction to Freud's writing and analysis. Often brilliant but not always persuasive, Freud pieces together disparate parts of the psyches of seriously disturbed individuals into coherent stories that shed light onto the process of analysis.

The worst Freud's thing to my mind!
I've decided to read it just to get persuaded in Freud's theries' stupidity. And the more I read the more I get disappointed.

These works reveal Freud at his most iconoclastic, asking questions about the powerful group identity - how this has the power to drive us to hatred. He explores the psyche as a social force, with a view of how institutions such as church and army can engineer unquestionning loyalty to leaders and provoke individuals in groups to commit atrocities. Freund findings would ultimately prove to be all too prophetic about the dangers of nationalism in the 20th century. Further writings include writings like The Future of an Illusion, another modern classic.
