The Watsons promised to be predictable with a slightly goody-two-shoes heroine akin to Fanny Price, and Lady Susan was funny in a sort of mortifying way...but the winner is Sanditon - totally sparkling. Could have been her best novel. I loved it and can't wait to find some papers on it.

Love love love these stories. Love that you really can't see the ending, but you get to try and think about what Austen would do with her characters.
