One of my favorite childhood memories was Mrs Ashbury reading this to us in the center of our open area. It encouraged me as a storyteller and an actress. I really love the imagination it takes to think this through and hope for our children in the future to dream big dreams and think big thinks

WAW!!! i mean this is something! I was in Iran, walking through the tiny streets or in a desert and wathed and felt the life of a 15 years old girl all the time while reading this book. Great writting, great story, great reading. A little bit sad but thats a real life. its a classic, get loads of chocolate or sweets while reading it, coz u might need it!!!

Charlie and I have been on a Roald Dahl binge. Love this book and all those rotten little children! Oh, and nothing could surpass the Gene WIlder film version.
