This book is amazing. The translation does well in keeping Tolstoy's epic work true to its nature. Insights are gained into the human psyche and a lifetime of worries, doubts and loves are spelled out before the readers eyes. Surely a must read.

I've read and enjoyed many Russian classics. This book was a struggle. The plot, the characters, the setting, the philosophy - none of it held my interest.

Soo good and so heavy. It takes a while to get through it, but it's so good. It's hard to imagine one person is responsible for writing the whole thing.

Oprah #5 - real pathetic. Hope the Oprah's ratings won't spread into the rest of the world. The book is a true classic, with beautifully written characters, the book that rises a lot of questions, but also gives many answers. It is a rare book that sort of gives a reader an opportunity to get some life experience by skipping it in the real life.
