A lovely stocking stuffer from my sister. A longtime Edward Gorey collector, I love the way he can mix humour with the unmistakable feeling of dread; one never knows which way the story is going to go. And of course, the illustrations are deceptively complex in their simplicity. Classic Gorey at its best.
