Recently re-read this wonderful novel and still think this is one of my absolute favourites, George Orwell really is an incredible author like no other. Provides a very painstaking account of colonialism that I believe is a must-read for everyone!

I like Orwell, I think he is fantastic at description - really brings the characters and settings to life. This book was no different, a very good one...I just don't know that I would have ended it the way he did. I mean I guess I understand what his message in it was, I just think that maybe a different ending could have still gotten it across.

This book is simply an observation of the time and peoples attitudes towards different types of race, good novel but obviously not one of Orwell's all time classics but still a good read

My favorite edition. I have lent it more than once, and suggest anyone buy it. It is so multi-faceted.
