An autobiography with a strong thread of his “conversion” to Christianity, the writing is so beautiful in some places I regretted having it as a book-on-tape, since I wanted to re-read and savor the parts. His conversion is really a long process of internal growth, and it’s the inner and outer journeys that he chronicles so well.

I found it dark, remote and utterly uninteresting but maybe, just maybe, Divine Providence works in such mysterious ways that I was simply blinded.

Very insightful. Like all of Lewis' books it contains thoughts that may be relevant to the reader (in spite of it's being an autobiography.

Only very good writters with really something to say can be interesting when talking about themselves. Especially when discussing something so private and personal as one's spiritual life.

C.S. Lewis is awesome. His writing in this book is sophisticated to the point that a lot of it was over my head, but the language is beatiful, and he makes some very interesting observations. I really enjoyed reading it.
