I'm glad I read this book. I don't know if I'll ever read it again. What's interesting is that I remember things about this book more than I usually remember things. I think because it's a stream of consciousness writing style. Interesting.

I actually "read" this one on audiobook. Woolf's language flows like water; sometimes you're rushed along rapids and sometimes you wallow in slow pools and eddies. The plot of the novel is rather simple, but it is the poetry of her prose that makes it all worth the effort, and makes her so powerful a writer.

I am too dumb to get Virginia Woolf. I found this to be so painful to read (I promised my boyfriend at the time that I would read it). And still, to this day, I can't remember anything about it.
