I was a little underwhelmed by GE but still a good read. Maybe I had too much expectations. Hehehe! I felt the story was a little too sanitised and conformed to the expectations of mass readers at the time. Although, the ending was very interesting only because it was a bit vague.

Dickens' best in my opinion. True to his talent for great character discriptions, cliff hanging endings for the chapters, complex plot(s), and a serious look at issues of the day in England.

Fantastic I have read hundreds of books and even worked in a bookshop and this is about the best I have ever read it has everything in it. Crime suspense deals with human emotions and insecurities and justice it is the work of a genius.

Excellent descriptions and breathtaking plot. Alexandre Dumas is so good in showing the evil side of some of the characters and at creating a plot. And when you think you know how the story will continue, you are about to be surprised again. An excellent read. Not to be missed.

Great Expectations is truly a classic in literature. This is Dickens at his best. I truly got engrossed in the story, and although Dickens writes from different era in a different culture, his characterizations of the humanness of his characters are relevant even in today's fast-paced, techno society. Great read!
