This is one among my all time favorite book. The story is deep simlple and connects easily with masses. Read it during a beautiful rainy day with "erulli bajji" as a feeder.

got this book from one of the car boot sale and when I looked at the author whole Malgudi Days series went through my mind. Written in very simple english and great book. Based on early age of India, when it was still under the RAJ. so very less some of the money use to have a lot of value in that time, so always have to bare in a mind about that. Overall excellent, look forward to read more from this Author

The funniest book I have read till date... absolutely delightful! R.K. Narayan's style is a class apart! The story of a confused young adult...what else can be a better platform for good humor! Its amazing how Narayan makes fun of/criticizes certain social ideologies in India during his times... Light-hearted yet thought provoking. R.K. Narayan is by far my favorite author.
