though it was meant to have been researched to be as historically correct as possable, it was a very one sided portrayal of life in the rich tea houses. Was a lovely book, very well written, but if you like this kind of book there are also a few autobiographies out at the moment ranging from the poorer tea houses right through to the richer ones that can give a good, balanced view on what life was like in that industry.
