Definitely not a sexy portrayal of porn... Had potential but the ending was silly and the big plot twist was fairly obvious, so no fun shock value there for me. Seemed like his desire for a high gross out factor got a little out of hand. Like why would someone start chewing up used condoms? Gross yes, but whyyyyy?

I'm an avid Chuck Palahniuk fan, and so of course when this book came out I had to get it. This is, without a doubt, the WORST book of Chuck's career thus far. The characters are all one-sided and underdeveloped, the plot twists are predictable, and overall the book just falls flat. Save yourself the time and energy, I already read it for you.

Good book, but definitely more 'weird' than most of his books, even more akwardly sexual than Choke. I felt awkward reading it in public, so it took me longer to read, but it was definitely an easy read and I liked it. He has a way of making you feel sorry for characters that you wouldn't expect to.

I didn't care for this one. I felt it was written more for shock value than anything else. It didn't have the great quotable lines like so many of Chuck P's other books. I expected more.

Woof. I'm not sure I'm GLAD I read this book, but it was good. Very Palahnuik, maybe to a fault. His characters are great, as always, but his stories sometimes get repetitive in their exhaustive attention to detail. Also, not for people with a weak stomach for bizarre and graphic human sexuality.

Predictable ending. Fortunately, it was a quick read. Not to say that I could do better---but Chuck certainly could (a few years earlier). He signed my book though!

a fine tale of 600 pud-pullers, taffy-tuggers, whitewallers, monkey-spankers, candy-makers, hand queens, milkmen, chicken-chokers, peter-beaters, and wank-bandits and one woman going for a world record. it's a love story... with a sizzling climax...
