the third and most exciting out of the first three in my opinion. honestly my parents got mad at me because i refused to put the book down. it was suprising because of the bad choices the character made. but she had to mess up in order for the series to go on. so i'm glad she acted stupid.

I'm realllllllllly trying to get over the things that have been annoying me throughout this series. The repetition of "complicated" information, the "typical teenage" vernacular, the author's (life lessons stuck in parentheses) all over the place, etc. All these things aside, the story is actually quite entertaining. Definitely juvenile and definitely overly dramatic but hey, its a cheesy teenage vampire book. IMO this was the best of the three so far.

I CANT PUT THESE BOOKS DOWN!!! This book has some serous love issues going on. I LOVED it!!! Not to mention all of the conflict. I can't wait to read the next one!

This one has been my favourite so far, i was getting very annoyed with zoey with the entire three boyfriend saga, but every girl will go through the stage where she has feelings for more than one guy. I guess i just know what its like to be cheated on so i felt really bad for Erik! Cant wait to read the next book!

the beginning was kinda slow..but it really gets better when u reach the final chapters..the events were really and i quote Zoey "poop like" but they just make u want more and more action! cant wait till i read untamed!!

It was good, but not as good as the rest. Though I may be biased because I'm Team Heath. The Loren and Neferet thing was a major turnoff. He is a pervert/pedophile/rapist and should not be fooling around with a teenage girl like Zoey. She is way too good for him, and Erik just isn't going to cut it. Go Stevie Rae. And I can't believe Zoey's friends abandoned her. Everyone makes mistakes. I read it in a day, so that has to mean something.

To me, this series is way better than Twilight...in the sense it's fun! Won't be to everyone I think, whereas Bella and Edward's love is pure innocent, with cold kisses and all dramatic seriousness; Zoe's "loves" are red hot and well just reminds me of the girls that do "date"--and i LOVE that she has funny friends! I love vampires...and no, not because of Twilight. It's weird because I read the Twilight books when they first came out and loved it, but never revisited them even with the movie hype. I love the House of Night series because it's young, fresh, kind of sassy, the characters talk and act like teenagers (at least the teens I know)...and it's action packed and drama filled...love, love, love...waiting for the last 2 books eagerly!

Again, Editor needs to look more closely at mis-spellings and incorrect word usage and we are not idiots reading your books. We can figure out what the Cherokee word for daughter is when you use it throughout your books and don't need a reminder every five sentences. When P.C. gets her voice toward the ends of her books, they are good reads. I still can't believe that Zoey loses her virginity to an adult and a full fledge vampire in this book. I thought that was tacky but I guess you have to follow your characters wants and needs and not your own. I still think that if she is as special and strong as you make her out to be, then she would not have imprinted with him because of his lies and deceit and that she would have been able to resist his come-ons, but Eric would have still found her kissing him and to some that is cheating enough.

L O V E the House of Night Series! If you are into witch and vampire stories you will love House of Night.. I jsut finished the most recent book and waiting for the new one to come out in November is like waiting to old friends to return. If you liked Twilight, you will love House of Night! Absolutely a great story!

To be totally honest, this series kinda sucks (no pun intended). The author seems to think writing EVERYTHING in the slanguage of a teenager is appealling when in fact it is downright irritating and annoying. I've never read a book where the first person narrative uses words like "skank ho". Yet the protagonist also refuses to curse and uses idiotic phrases like "bull-poopie" repeatedly. As a high school teacher, I can assure you that no teenager I've ever met talks like that! But since I went to the trouble of reading all of the books, I'll probably read the newest one when it comes out as well. But I'll borrow it from someone instead of spending my money on it.

well gotta tell i finished this book yesterday and im soo pissed that i hav to wait so long for the 4th one....i meanit suck!!..but well this book was great!yeah a bit slow at the beggining but then danm it it really got good!!!it leaves u wanting more!! hey you know it cant really be compared to the Twilight books cause the overall theme is totally diff... i lov twilight i mean the lov story is awesome but this books are like.. more mature in a way.. is not the love story but likea vampire story,, i havent read this one but i cant wait for it.... sounds like its mind blowing...

One of the better books in the series, Zoey RedBird is a character like none other I have ever read about in a book. My favorite aspect of these books is the tie in between native american folklore and vampires. I never would have seen that coming if someone had asked me about books that would interest me. Nevertheless, awesome series!

Well, I do believe my foresight has been right so far! It'll probably make reading the rest less annoying but, I can't decide if I will keep reading the rest. There's only two more. They wouldn't take long, but still, there's stuff I'd rather be reading. These are very repetitive in descriptions. I guess it would be alright if I didn't read them one after the other like this, but I am. And she's always thinking the same things over and over and describing how things and people look almost whenever she sees them. We'll see. I think my favorite thing about this series are the covers. They do look really neat.

More twists with Chosen. Stevie Rae is undead. Which is a bit weird because as of yet (meaning of the five books), it is not explained why Neferet made the children undead, I'm a bit clueless on the whole thing. I guess because she was looking for someone to make the earth bleed. Chosen shows a little conflict between how some vampyres and people of faith, especially with vamps turning up dead. Then Zoey with three boyfriends? Omg, its ridiculous. I see several times of different guys that shes said they're the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen. I don't know if this was an inconsistency on behave of P.C. or if its just that Zoey is that shallow. I started to particularly not like her character in this book.

Being the third in the House of Night series this book left me thrilled and wanting more! Zoey is certainly going through alot now and the next book will be intersting seeing how she will overcome everything and hopefully get all her friends back! She should have known better than to not have let her friends in on what was happening and to be more careful with juggling 3 boys... shouldn't have let it happen! But anyway this book was great! I can't wait for Untamed to come out!!!

These books are too addicting, and like I said before, I'm not even all that fond of them. I still had to skip entire pages worth of summaries in this one, but it wasn't as bad as the second. I do enjoy the story very much (even though the three boyfriend/ho thing was annoying), but I wish it wasn't so contemporary. The intimate scenes were embarrassing and a little trashy, but since I stayed up all night reading it, I guess I can't complain too much. This is definitely a leisurely, beach read.
