Matthew Reilly's Scarecrow is like the heroes from all those Saturday morning cartoons or childhood aventures you used to play. He never dies, he does the impossible and as long as you leave your sense of reality on page 1 you'll enjoy the books all the way - even if they are beyond daft at times (see Hell Island)

ever the fast paced read...action filled and as good as the last. you will NOT see the turn of events - im still thinking omg when i reminisce about it!

Imagine the explosions of Die Hard , the car chases of a Bond film, the body count of any Rambo film and put them all into one book with the minimum amount of plot and that just about sums up Scarecrow. A book that you can't take seriously but is very fun and won't take long to plough through. Good escapism and as deep and meaningful as a pop song, so not very then.

Scarecrow is one of the best novels i have ever read. It is a acton packed book full of AWESOMENESS!!!

When reading books, one must sometimes suspend reality and just put yourself in the author's control and allow the plot, the characters to just go their natural flow. I've been reading the 3 Schofield books the past few days and I'm loving all of them. But I definitely love this book not only because it seems to be faster, more action-paced and there is a human side shown about this hero. I shed a few tears while reading this book while continuing to be amazed by the prowess of the characters involved. I enjoyed reading this one a lot.

Back to a more acceptable standard, as the title suggests this book is about Scarecrow and the action is fast flowing again. The story does not reach the giddy highs of Ice Station but it is really good, and contains a massive and unpredictable twist within it. A much better offering coming right after the comparatively poor Area 7.

Fast-paced ... emotional and nailbiting! Guys with dig it more coz of the OD'd action element ... but it was still a fun book to read ... !!!

High energy! Reminiscent of the serial cliffhangers our grandparents watched as children...end of each chapter teases you into turning to the next to find out what happens next

Fantastic. Action packed fast moving Great 3rd book in series. Scarecrow is awesome. Great to see the softer side coming out.

Excellet! Riley doesn't let you down, with another rip-roaring action adventure that grabs you from page one. He's thrown in some twists, which keeps you on the edge of your seat and wanting more. A+++++++

Its good but cant say its his best... The plot is really gripping... But non-stop wham-bam action kept no room for learning... (coz readers always like to learn) Other than that its fine and a nice read...

Fasten your seatbelts, this thriller's a hell of a ride!! Shane 'Scarecrow' Schofield, USMC, is back and this time he's on the trail of Killian, a Bondish villain who wants to bring about the fall of the Western Empire by letting a few nukes go off in cities . . . and this baddie himself is allied with a power-hungry France wanting to be the dominant European leaders once the ashes have settled . . . but Killian has bigger plans! When the action kicks off, you won't want to put this down, it has everything - bounty hunters, car chases, boats sinking, explosions, an attack on Canary Wharf in London with a DIE HARD-inspired scene at the top secret Mossad HQ there, sweeping from Russia to Afghanistan to London to France to the Middle East at a breathtaking pace! This is the stuff movies are made of, and what I like about Reilly is that he isn't afraid to put what we love in action movies into books. OK, its brain candy but such a fun read. I will say in spite of some blood and gore this is suitable for teenagers to read as well as adults who love to turn our brains off and escape . . .
