This book held my interest from the beginning to the end. A great book for thriller buffs and the writer uses some very graphic descriptions, especially when people turn into a pool of slime and blood. But overall a fantastic read ,a good company on long journeys.

An espionage/ ‘techo’ thriller by a writer who has since passed away. This book was authored with the ‘assistance’ of another author. How much input Ludlum had in the final draft of this novel, I don’t know since having never read any of his other work, I am unfamiliar with his use of language. The exploration of nanotechnology is interesting. Some of the descriptive writing is quite graphic, as Bioterrorists use ‘nanophages’ (submolecular organic machines) that cause humans to dissolve into a pool of bloody slime. Some of the writing lapses into cliche. We have an environmental organisation with a legitimate, peaceful front, using terrorists to carry out secret operations. The head of this organisation is an evil scientist bent on world domination. Still, this book did hold my interest from beginning to end.

Ultra coolish plot.. ludlum does'nt waste time to establish his characters before getting to the "juicier" parts.. Fast paced, and the story does'nt sag one bit..
