This is my absolute favourite of the Dark-Hunter series. I always wanted to know about Acherons background, so this book was eagerly awaited and it didn't dissapoint. The first half of this book is written in a compleatly different style to that of the other Dark-Hunter novels, but don't let this put you off! While different it is very moving. I spent the entire time either fighting off tears or swearing at the characters brought to life so well on the pages. The second half of the story goes back to the more traditional style of the previous novels, and brings a little bit of happiness to Archerons life - Good for him!

This book is just proof that Sherrilyn doesn't discriminate against the big ones in life, and that she can make anyone seem beautiful :) stick them with a Katagari turned Arcadian wolf and no one will say anything bad about her :)

bloody amazing book love it its the best book ive ever read bearin in mind i hate reading!! makes u realise that as a larger girl that you can find someone that loves u for u. (even if they are half wolf n have powers) the main characters vain n bride are amazing and there connection is so intense its really movin and some points it made me quite emotional the fight senes are quality and u can really imagin it , also the sex senes are wicked as you can imagin every movement and touch. its such a good book i really recomend it for anyone i couldnt put it down. xxx

Somehow I read this out of order. I found the official list online. http://www.sherrilynkenyon.com/book_list.pdf I put this down after the first chapter unsure if I would like it. I convinced myself to pick it back up (since all her books have been good, and I already liked Vane) it turned out to be a good read. Nothing spectacular but good. Now to go back 1 book to Kiss of the Night.

So Sherrilyn Kenyon readers can take a break from Dark-Hunters because this one's about a Were-hunter and more, but that doesn't mean they're not present here. Kyrian and Amanda are here together with the ever-present Acheron and his cute demon Simi, who I'm getting fond of more and more. From what I've read in her previous novels, I'd consider this a light read. No betrayal, no ghastly tortures,and such. Vane does have scars and Bride wasn't the conventional heroine when it comes to physical looks. I liked that SK wrote about different people, that not all heroines need to be sexy or a below size 6. I liked the family values in this story and was really happy for Vane to have found his family, I was also amused by the magic. Of course there were expensive cars, time-traveling, and wolf mating rituals that I found interesting. Their story happened quickly (less than 3 weeks) and it's really too good to be true, but hey it's fiction, right? It was really entertaining especially when I read about the squires. I really liked their attitude. I'm quite intrigued with Valerius, he's next.

This book was very good, I definitly enjoyed the plot, the characters and yes I even took a little type of pleasure in the fact that the heroine was a size 18! Though that wasn't the only reason, it definitly added a certain something especially with the added psychology that goes with being a little heavier. All the other characters were fantastic and of course it is always good to see old characters again and see where they are now.

I absolutely love VAnure and Bride. I really like the tortured soul in a hunk's body and that the heroine is a twig that that flies away on with a gust of wind. Go Sherrilyn!

One of my favourite and surprisingly with a leading girl who is a size... 18 was it? Bride is not your typical fragile, modelly irresistible gorgeous lead although Vane would be the typical male lead... except he's a wolf of sorts. It is easier to relate to with 95% of the female population who is unable to attain goddess standard of beauty. I also love the magic, fierce chemistry and the 'realness' of Bride. Then again, I'm a sucker for the gorgeous man falling for the physically less-than-perfect female.

Pretty good, a lot better then Wulf's story. Bride got a bit annoying when she kept going on and on about everything not being real but Vane makes up for it. Vane and his brothers are great and there is great fun when Vane gets together with the Dark Hunters. Pretty worthwhile read but the love scenes were short and not very exciting except for the first one in my opinion. The action scenes are what I really enjoyed reading and seeing the Were-Hunters world was a treat.

This series just keeps getting better. I love getting a look into the the Were-Hunters life and habits. It is also wonderful to see someone so devoted to their mate. Vane is to die for. He is all alpha male, honorable, caring, great endurance, gentle, protective and more than a little tortured. Bride is a strong person except when it comes to her weight. She is a successful business woman, intelligent, protective and open minded enough to accept the reality of Vanes life when is comes crashing into their relationship. These two a hot, hot, hot in bed together. I also love the glimpses of Ash with Kyrian and Amanda's baby. He is so tender and caring while he holds her. I also love Simi. She is a scream whenever she shows up. I love the way Ash spoils her and I laugh at Simi's description of Artemis. This is a great addition to this wonderful series.

still reading it. Something other than dark-hunter... the were-hunter! Argh. There are wild and passionate. How is Vane going to court Bride in "human ways" and protect her against his clan assasins? Can't wait to find out more.
