An excellent read. This is the book that got me back into reading (accidentally) it was left in a room we used when mother was in Raigmore hospital, thats another story but surprisingly I picked it up and could'nt put it down. the plot being a group of stangers plotting revenge on a con man who took thier cash.... they plan to take back " Not a penny more, not a penny less" well worth reading and I'm glad I now read regularly ;-)

The fact that its about people indifferent to business and investment makes it sooooooooo interesting. U r completely absorbed in all their the plans . U can feel the tension that they go thru . It all simply put is involving. Once they start with their plans , u don’t feel like leaving the book. What really worked is the one track story , doesn’t let ur mind wander. Cheers to Jeffrey!!! Its an intelligent novel -makes u think .Nothing superfluous about it. Ther is no heroism. The story is undoubtedly the real hero. This one has revived my fading interest in novels . Loved it.

I've never even laughed in Priyadarshan movie so much. All the way I felt its a simple SIMPLE book, but I actually liked it. Its so light n humorous all the way that I can say its slightly better than only book I've read of P G Wodehouse.1st book of Archer, I'm sure he never repeated this light comedy style again. But why? surely he written pretty heavy things in his light fluent style but this was so much better :)

I don't remember the details, just remember really enjoying it. Archer's one of my fave authors when it comes to page turners.

This was the first novel by Jeffery Archer, and it went on to become a bestseller.The story is about four individuals, who get duped by Harvey Metcalf to the tune of USD 1 million. How they join forces and use their individual skills (with cooperation from the other three) to recover the money forms the story.The characterization by Archer is amazing. The Oxfor don, the English lord, the doctor, and the French art dealer are well portrayed. Harvey as the obnoxious, greedy, and loud mouthed fraudster millionnaire is immensly hateable. All in all, a very good read. Five Stars!

A real page turner. A story about 4 people, totally unknown to each other, are taken for a ride in the name of an oil company Prospecta Oil in the name of Harvey. These 4 guys totally oblivious of his plan, invest their savings in the shares of this company. It becomes too late when they realize that they have been swindled. Then starts the journey of how these people come together and plan out the things to extract the exact amount of money they have been looted for. Not a penny more and not a penny less.I would rate it as a perfect novel. Everything is described so perfectly that at any point the reader does not feel story being dragged. The plan laid is very interesting and a little twist is quite humorous. 5 out 5 for Jeffery Archer. :)

Not a penny more, not a penny less, is a book about four people who lose over a million dollars in a stock market scam. They get together and decide to steal all there money back, but not a penny more, not a penny less. I enjoyed this book a lot, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoyed movies like Oceans Eleven and The Italian Job. The plot was great, and it has twists and turns along the way, that keep you reading it. It is definitely a book worth checking out

It is the first Archer's novel, you would be amazed what a good story teller he is if you never read Archers' novels before. As his die hard fans, I don't find it too interesting - all the plots you could imagine through all the con movies except Jame's girlfriend, Anne, came out was the daughter of con man Harvey Metcalfe at the last chapters.
