This book is a darkly funny memoir of a woman who lost her mind at the age of 12, complete with 80's pop culture references.

The author tells story from her childhood and teen years with OCD, and most of the stories are just hilarious. I love her sister, everything about her made me laugh so much!

an interesting look into OCD, especially scrupulosity (religious OCD). some parts were slow, but i liked the honesty and humor of the narrative.

Another first to review, who hoo Ive always been interested in OCD, obsesive compulsive disorder, and this book does shed some light onto the disease. A true story about the authors actual life; she writes with a purpose and an understanding to detail...no pun intended. From making sure that her food was 100% kosher to stressing over the glue that holds the first square of toliet paper down to the roll, the author had me laughing through the entire book. Its not a prize winner by any means, but fun to read...which is what I believe reading should be about.

Coarse, but very humorous. One of the few books that has made me laugh aloud. OCD is really a tragic condition, but the author finds humor in her daily rituals. She highlights the fact that her Judaism was one of the things which provided her with material over which to obsess.

As a person with OCD, I was able to relate to everything written in this book. I highly recommend it to anyone with the disorder (or who knows someone with the disorder). It uses humor to describe and explain a difficult mental illness.
