Funny, as Sedaris is expected to be. Excellent book to read whlie on vacation. The short stories are not exactly linked, which makes it easy for a person to read over an extended amount of time. His style, of course true to himself, is excellent, and the writing is intriguiging. Overall, a excellent display of character development of a boy who did not know himself and was afraid to find out more about himself to a man who discovered the excitement in exploration. Who better to write about his own travels than himself? I reccomend it to everyone.

I loved this book. I laughed so hard I cried in almost every story. It's really hard to find a book that makes me laugh, I am a tough critic in the humor department, something about David Sedaris that tickles my funnybone.

Funny and sometimes touching semi-autobiographical "memoirs" by a man with a talent for the written word. Sedaris is hugely popular right now, and reading this I discovered why. Sedaris is an extremely popular writer, and I'm discovering why. His semi-autobiographical essays are brilliant and funny, and the man's writing abilities cannot be denied.

Hilarious and sort of sad to think about some of what he went through as a child. How missunderstood children can be. It was great if you like Augusten Buroughs, then you will love David Sedaris. Now I cannot wait to read the rest of his books.

Everything David Sedaris does is genious. I have to also say that the audiobook of this, with David reading it and his sister Amy Sedaris reading the female parts, is just amazing - particularly the story entitled "Ashes." I have listened to it so many times, and each time it touches me so much that it makes me cry. (For those who know me, they know the importance of that fact - I never cry!) Anyway, it's amazing. Read it. NOW!

I adore David Sedaris. His writings are brilliantly funny. Naked is my favorite of his books, and a book that I tried not to finish, because I couldn't stand the idea of not being able to laugh myself silly the next day. I purposely strung out the read, sometimes reading only a page or two a week. Absolutely hilarious!

I'm probably the only person who doesn't just LOVE David Sedaris but I just couldn't get into it. I tried and I tried with both this and Me Talk Pretty One Day and I just never really enjoyed it.

This is one of my favorite books evereverever. I am a certified member of the Cult of Sedaris. This is the first of his that I read...it seems like the first one people read is their favorite. I dropped this one in the bathtub from laughing so hard. LOVE. IT.

I love and have read every one of David's books! They are not only hilarious, but poignant as well! If you've never heard him on NPR, you've missed a treasure!

David Sedaris sold me on memoirs. Naked and his other books are some of the few that have actually made me laugh out loud while reading them.
