After reading 80 pages of this book, and it still had only just touched on the actual story, I have given up with it as I found it very boring and long-winded.

A really weird read to be honest. Took me a while to get into but I ended up really enjoying it. Not a book to read if you want something quick.

What an unusual story! This book grabbed me instantly and was a roller-coaster from start to finish. The 'hero' alone is the greatest twist... Our hero is a dead man, a ghost, and he has unfinished business (as do all spirits left behind) his family are in danger and he has to save them. But how do you save someone when no-one can hear/see/touch/see you?

This is a good read but definitely not his best. I felt that the story was a little bit thin in parts but is still worth a read.

well. i don't say i hate it. but yet, i don't like this book. so negative. if you are over sensitive, don't read this. you won't miss much by doing that.

The book started off well. Caught my attention, with the inital difficult position Jim finds himself in. And the history of his ability was an engaging read. But it seem to lose a certain something as the book progressed. And by the end I was glad to have finished it. I will not be keeping this. Its a shame the energy of the first few chapters could not have been maintained.

Haven't read James Herbert for many years so I didn't know what to expect. I couldn't put it down, really wanted to know what was going to happen next. Couldn't get my head around the bloke with no face though, creeped me out.

I thought this was a great idea and a good story but I felt like the end was sort of left hanging. I couldn't help feeling like Herbert was struggling to find an ending.
