by far THE best book i've ever fucking read!!! kinda like the movie ALIENS is to me, this is the book i fucking love the most. having read it more times than i can remember, it never seems repetitive and is truly a balls out rollercoaster ride of action, suspense and adventure. so fucking unputdownable. Herberts best novel by far in part due to that youthful more action driven narrative drive he started out with. this being the 3rd in the 'rats' trilogy, amazingly it becomes the best and i think the genius of that is using a nuclear bomb attacked ravaged london as backdrop to the killer rodents doing there killing shit. it begins with a bang, literally, and doesn't let up from there as we follow the hero and a small group of survivors trying to stay alive amidst all the carnage and terror. from one chapter to the next your invested in the characters and plot so much you just have to continue reading. A fucking blast !!!
