I got this when I got my dog(11 months old) and it has been a fantastic help. Now I have a calm assertive happy dog :o)it works...

A very interesting view of human & dog relations from a successful dog and dog owner rehab expert. You won't find anything in this book about how to make Fido sit, stay or come when called or but you may find out why he doesn't listen! Millan lays out the root of dog problems as being based in the owner's lack of what he calls "calm, assertive leadership" and then he tells the reader how to become a good dog leader. A lot of interesting anecdotes and dog psychology as well as his own personal experiences, makes this a fun read that will hopefully help dog owners be better "pack leaders" and their dogs to become good "calm, submissive followers".

I was skeptical about dog psychology, but this book contains so much human common sense I highly recommend it.

It was interesting and helped me to understand my dog better. However, everything in here you can learn from the show. He teaches concepts but not really how to apply them.

I found Cesar's story just as interesting as the information about dog psychology. Well written and readable, Cesar's Way does not read like a reference book.

Good Book. Helpful hints. I love reading about dogs and dog stories! Good Book! I LOVE my dogs. Anything to help me understand them better and be a (wiser) "pack leader." Average Book. I am glad I read it, though.

This should be required reading for anyone who owns a dog or is thinking of getting a dog, especially dogs that are rescues.
