There is a feeling of...eternity in this book. It is a delight to read the story of Marius, and to understand the personality that was always eclipsed by something else on the past books. If I could relate, personally, to any character of the Vampire Chronicles, that would be Marius. Somehow, his personality reflects my personality. I was so delighted to read about Amadeo's sorrow on the eyes of Marius. As well as Pandora's grief and Bianca's devotion. And to realize that the character that I always thought to be strong had his moments of weakness was the best thing of the whole book.

I've always loved Marius and Blood and Gold further solidified this despite his self-proclaimed weaknesses. Rice has expertly woven other Vampire Chronicles into his story while shedding new light upon the existence of Marius. This was one of my favorite Chronicles.

Voici l'histoire incroyable de Marius le Vampire qui a plus de 2000 ans,il est le gardien du roi et de la reine des vampires. Marius est un vampire puissant et très respecté dans la confrérie des vampires qui fait tout pour protéger le roi et la reine. J'ai adoré ce roman du début à la fin.
