Another great Cotton Malone story, this one picking up where the last one left off.

I abosolutely enjoyed the book... up until the end... are we setting up a new story?

Page turner once again. The best part about these novels is that Berry intertwines actual history into the stories. Then, at the end, he lets you in on what was real and what was fiction. Makes me want to pick up books about Napoleon.

This latest Steve Berry contains the usual entertaining combination of history and suspense! Although I wish he would branch out from his usual characters, he does manage to make each story different enough from the last. This one focuses on a hidden cache of Napolean's, so Berry provides a lot of detail about the French emperor as well as the city of Paris.

Another excellent read from Steve Berry, mixing fact and fiction for a good historical, detective story.

Cotton Malone is a very believable character, one of the brightest in any book I have read. Great series of books!

A decent historical thriller, but I was disappointed that this book relied more on the thriller aspect than the historical aspect. In previous works, Berry has more successfully integrated the historical mystery being solved with the modern action. In this one, the mystery of Napoleon's hidden treasure felt tacked on to a story about financial conspiracies and terrorism to throw Berry's loyal readers a bone. That said the story kept me interested and provided a few hours of solid entertainment.

Decided to read this book because I love to travel in Europe. So throughout the book it was very easy to see all the places described because I have been to them all.
The story was good and had some interesting parts. However, the characters were really hard to get any sort of attachment to. I really found myself not caring much about any of them, and also losing track of some of them(some of that might be due to the fact I would only read this book while at lunch at work).
Book was worth a read, but I would grab this one from the local library and save the $.

Okay..another good Cotton Malone story except this time, he wasn't the star!!!The book took a different turn and added some new characters. It will be interesting to see where the author will take these characters...

A rather predictable ending to a book that was more like generic historical thrillers than Berry's usually high-caliber novels. Worth reading, though, if you are into Napoleonic history and Berry's past works.

I'm a huge fan of the Cotton Molone series and this book didn't disappoint. There might not have been as much action and Cotton getting into that plane was a bit far out but I liked that the story centered more around Henrick. Learning more about Mexico City, Henrick and Cia made for a great read. I felt heartsick over what happened with Henrick and it will be interesting to see how that effects Cotton in future books. Not the absolute in the Cotton series but still a great, enjoyable, easy read.

Excellent book. But you need to know about Napolean to really understand the premise of the novel.
And each of Berry's books is almost like multi-tasking. There are about 3 or 4 plot lines that continue until near the climax, when everything comes together! But once you get sucked into the exploits of Cotton Malone, you won't want to put the book down!

Another great book by Steve Berry. This one picks up right where his last one left off. I loved reading it because I couldn't wait to find out what happens next. On the other hand a couple of things bothered me. He changed one of his reoccurring characters personality a lot and that's something that I didn't see coming and the ending was very painful. I hope the next one is more uplifting than his last two. That being said I would recommend this book to everyone and will most likely read it again before to long!!
