As a matter of fact, Erich Segal's Love Story was better than I thought. Simple, lively and blue, just like the story it tells. Recommended.

I don't understand the fuss over this book. predictable and flat. Maybe the movie is better since he actually wrote the script before he turned it into a novel? Or maybe I lack the sap-factor required to enjoy this.

This is a tear jerker so get your tissues out!Rich Oliver meets Jennifer, a poor Italian girl and fall in love. Oliver's Father disapproves of the relationship and threatens to disown his son if he marrys Jennifer. Oliver difies his Dad and marries Jennifer, the love of his life. They have a nice marriage and long to start a family. Then Jennifer gets dizzy and thinks she is pregnant. When she goes to get a blood test the doctor reveals she deffinately has something. A must read for thos romantically inclined.

An enjoyable read. Love Story is a book that is quick and easy to read, a mere 133 pages. The film stayed true to the book, so if you've seen the film you'll be visualing it whilst reading.

simple and straightforward...these words sum up erich segal's masterpiece. most authors try to complicate the plot by exaggerating nd unnecessarily adding tidbits and blind curves here and there..segal has kept it simple nd that is wat ouches the cord among readers.. a must read for anyone who has been in love or wants 2 be in love or is in love..trust me u ll nva want 2 put it down..!!

Actually its my first book that i have read...although the title of the book is very typical, i liked the book very much.i wasnt used to reading books before but this really changed my mind.It has something other regular books doesnt have.the story feels so real at times that i got flown away at those points.Erich Segal was fantastic throughout...he kept a theme very pure...Love stories doesnt mean that it wud be happily ever after ending, that's what it proves...i just want to say its worth reading it...

son of very rich father and tomboyish daughter of a poor father ultimately destined to fall in love and they got married and then story of great couple who were very much in love ends when reality strikes their life.girl have to die in the end but she is happy that she had a great lover "his dear husband".
