Not up to snuff with his other books. Somehow I get the feeling he ran out of steam by the time he reached this book, and he was writing it because he had to, just to complete the series. It doesn't have that same epic, desperate, raw feel of the earlier book in this cycle, and it doesn't match the majestic scope of his earlier books. Still a decent read, but definitely not his best work.

The Serpentwar Saga is a wonderful hard to put down series. Once again Pug comes into the picture. Who faces more than the Emerald Queen and her army. I love Eric von Darkmore and Roo. You can feel yourself in every thing they face.

I actually cried with this one - its really upsetting when the characters you've come to know and love over so many books - spanning so many fictional (and RL) years, get old and die. I'll mis Jimmy!

A good end to the saga but to be honest I thought It should really have been the Demonwar Saga more than the Serpentwar but i suppose it did all begin with the Pantathians. Looking forward to the next saga.
