One of my favorites. You just have to read it. I loved this book. I think all of us can relate to the longgone days of summer when we were yonger. A good summer read!

I'm only a few pages in, but so far a good novel. I already love the characters, which include 2 sweet little girls (at least I think they are sweet, so far). I know something bad lies ahead for them, or for someone else. I can't wait to find out.

Loved this book! All the characters are so real and I really didn't want the story to end, but when it did, I was happy with the ending!

This book is ok, when I read it, it seemed really good but since I have read it, it seems very simplistic and predictable. If you want to read a feel good book, then this is a good book to read, if you want something deep, do not read this. I am partway through this book, reading it for a book club, and I think I have already cried twice, really good so far.

I wasn't expecting this book to get me like it did. Little girls + friendships = get your tissues. Quick beach read.

I liked this book and was able to see myself in it, despite not loving all of the characters. They are flawed and real and kind of gritty and raw. And having lived in the south, they are true to the region, not in the way that some people poetically write southern characters, but in a current and honest way. I didn't love the ending, but I can live with it.

A wonderful story that tells so much about the inner workings of human nature and shows once again that life is not black and white, but rather filled with shades of gray.

Great story, you love the characters and their craziness right from the beginning, and as much as you hate to admit it, you know that every child needs a friend like Winnalee. Even though as a parent you might think she is not the best influence, she teaches Button more than any adult ever has. Read it, love it.

I absolutely love this author. Her characters are so well developed, and I felt like I knew them all personally. The stories are so rich, I have a hard time putting Sandra's books down. I can't wait to see where Winney shows up next. Another excellent read by Sandra Kring. Her characters are amazingly well defined and make simple story lines so fun to read. Her books are about real people and places and are full of wonderful, sometimes complex relationships. I have read all three of her books and can't wait for the next one.
