Good book, enjoyed reading it. Great characters, and just shows sometimes the things we spend our lives longing for wld not make us happy when achieved anyway. Think that was the general message from the story, things are not always as they appear on the surface.

When I saw this book on the store shelf at Coles, I picked it up because it looked like an interesting read.

Well, what a read it was! Kinsella knows how to write very well. She had me wanting more after every page

Lexi seemed so real, it was like being in the room with her...all the characters were so alive.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who's feeling down, its comical yet serious at the same time.

Finished this book within 3 days. An unputdownable.. It reminds me of the state I am in right now... where everything just changed practically overnight and I wonder what hit. And everything thing that has happened now seems like a dream, a vague phase that went through my life. Lexi, thanks for the lessons.

not really that funny...but I kept reading for some reason.
Sophie Kinsella's Confessions of a Shopaholic was definitely funnier than Remember Me? I kept reading on because I wondered how it would end, but I didn't care for the resolution and I definitely didn't find the story line humorous. For this read, I'd say don't waste your time.

Reminds me of the T.V. show Samantha Who?

The book starts off great lots of detail. The middle really hooked me I wanted to know how things were going to end. The end was dismal to ay the least. I felt all the details and explanation was given in the middle leaving the end rather empty. Good read, but I was left wanting more.

"Remember me?"is a novel by Sophie Kinsella. After a car accident, Lexi gets amnesia and wakes up in a hospital to find that she forgot everything about the last three years of her life. She also finds that she's already married to a handsome young millionaire. She is the boss of her department at work. She has perfect teeth and beautiful shiny hair. She thinks she achieved all her dreams and she's the luckiest girl in the world. But is that true? Does she really enjoy this kind of life? She realizes that her ideal life isn't all it seems. Her friends hate her. A colleague is after her a position at work. She became a "bitch-boss-from-hell"!

The novel suggests a question: will you really be happy if you lead a perfect life, or does your Real life and character is more important? The novel is similar to Kinsella's other books; comic, romantic and true to life.

The theme of love and romance is developed through Lexi's relation with her husband and Jon; her lover. Love moments with Jon are very romantic. I really like the fact that they enjoy mutual understanding. They have a perfect sex life. They go to places together. They talk and share their feelings and thoughts. They even love the flaws of each other. Jon is always beside Lexi and he helps her become better and solve her mistakes. In addition, I like the way Lexi likes her real life and personality. She managed to find her way in life. She's faithful to her friends.

I really enjoyed this lovable novel. It's very gripping and it has Sophie's sense of humor. It's very interesting and exciting. You'll find yourself reading the chapters one after another to follow the exciting events until you reach the end. I give the novel a rating of Five Stars.

Another great read from Sophie Kinsella. I loved it although it wasn't quite as , umm, edgy as the last few. I mean, her characters usually get into a real fix (and this one did) but it is usually a bit more eye-wateringly embarrassing for them before they get themselves out. Still, this will tide me over until she puts out another shopaholic book. She HAS to.

Imagine waking up one day to find you have the "perfect" life--great job, ideal spouse, the right look and money to satisfy your every need and whim.

In "Remember Me?" Lexi Smart does just that--wakes up to the perfect life. Lexi wakes up in a hospital following a blow to the head and having amnesia. The last three years of her life are missing and she's gone from a frumpy girl with the nickname "Snaggletooth" to a high-powered corporate career woman with a complete make-over and a wealthy husband. It sounds a bit too good to be true...

And it turns out to be. In our climb to the top, Lexi alienated her closest friends and has become obsessed. She's become the corporate bitch in many ways and her perfect looking husband isn't quite the perfect guy he appears to be.

The story follows Lexi trying to put her life back together and figure out how she got there. The revelation of what drove her to become so ruthless is set up well in the early running and makes perfect sense within the context of the novel. Also, the story doesn't necessarily have Lexi find a perfect life for her beyond the perfect life she has on paper.

Told from the first-person perspective, "Remember Me?" is an intriguing commentary disguised as chick-lit fluff.

This book was kind of cute. It had a lot of funny sections that had me giggling. I really did not get into it until about 100 pages in. The books is VERY "girly". The story gets pretty interesting though. There were a couple times when I was really looking forward to picking it back up. After this one, I am ready for a serious one though. Not a bad read.

The second Kinsella book I have read, the first being "Can you keep a secret?" I enjoyed this one much more. The writing seemed much more mature, and the plot much more engaging. Main Character Lexi is lovable, and can be identified with by real people. Leaves the reader contemplating how their own life might be affected if 3 years went by with no recollection of events. The ending seemed a little whimsical (like many of Kinsella's stories), but overall this book is a hit.

I love Sophie Kinsella's books, but this latest one left me a bit disappointed. It felt like the writer was trying to hard to make the main character likeable. The protagonist lacked the charisma and cuteness from her Shopaholic series and her other two books: Can You Keep a Secret? & Domestic Goddess.

Remember Me by Sophie Kinsella (Book Review)
Remember Me by Sophie Kinsella is now in paperback. Ms Kinsella is the author of the internationally best selling Shopaholic Series. She writes funny chic lit with happy endings and this novel has all her usual ingredients for a great read. It is a well written easy read that made me laugh out load and cry for poor Lexi. The book’s ISBN is 05527727653 and it is published by Black Swan. The main character Lexi wakes up in a hospital after a car crash with amnesia and she thinks it is 2004 and she is most unhappy with her life. Gradually, she discovers that it is 2007 and all is prefect. She has a well toned body, she has fixed her teeth, she is no longer in a dead end job she is the director, the director from hell. She meets her husband a drop dead gorgeous millionaire and lives in a penthouse over looking the Thames. The novel is her journey in discovering her path to success. She learns her husband is a control freak and her friends have disowned her. Her sweet little sister is now a hormonal teenager and her job is way too competitive. She wonders is her life really that perfect? Then a hunky man turns up on her doorstep to reveal they are secret lovers. Follwers of Sophie Kinsella and chic lit novels will enjoy this, I did.  Super cool, is how I would describe the book as. The langauge is so, so cool and easy. The first word in the book is: Crap. Lol.

But I just loved the story too, Maxi's life and everything. This is one book I wish didn't finish. Her life was so interesting that I wanted to read or know something about her everyday. But it had to come an end, overall, I totally loved it. Thumbs up!

I was very afraid that this was going to be a "Bobby Ewing in the shower" kind of plot. Thankfully it wasn't. It was ok, but not great.
