This was one of my favorite Grisham books. The characters were more down to earth than most of his books and this one didn't center on a courtroom drama.

Not an interesting read. The book dragged on for a long time. Only the last 100pgs where interesting, i liked the climax of the plot though, not what i expected.

My grandmother gave this one to me to read. It's been a while since I've read one of these quick mystery thrills. It was reasonably good, just A LOT of fluff in the middle and a rushed ending.

It was easy to perdict the killer, but overall the book was excellent. I left a connection to the main character and was sad to see the book end.

I liked this book. It's not a "typical" Grisham legal thriller. It's not really a mystery, but more of a story of a young man and his friendships. I liked the short chapters, I felt it made the story flow more quickly. A good read.

Grisham showed that he is a true genius in writing this novel. Beautifully crafted plot, vivid characterization, the motion and action in the storyline - everything contributed to why I have this as my favorite Grisham novel, and why Grisham is one of my favorite authors.
