This book was largely boring. Not much happened, there seemed to be a lack of a main character for the first half, and Grisham's criticism and attack on the tobacco industry is sophomoric and poorly thought out. Grisham's books seem to be going downhill since The Firm, as well.

I agree, the book is a lot better than the movie. Definitely don't see the movie first. It's a good read!
