I loved this book. It is also a very deceiving book. I didn't think it would take that long to read but the stoy is so well written that as a reader I had to take time to fully read every page. I loved the stories within the story. he are wha really made this book amazing.

This isn't a happy love story, or an inspirational burn survival tale. This is a vivid, blast of storytelling. The main character isn't really a nice guy and the female lead is not a soft and gentle support. What this is however is an addicting tale of two people told in jumps back and forth thru time if you believe in the female lead. Get thru the first few chapters of intense burn related symptoms without getting creeped out, then get hooked on the "enduring love story" or psychotic ramblings of the intriguing female lead. Loved it.

I admit it too me a while to finish this book. Not because it was horrifically bad or too gruesome and twisted or anything of the sort. Honestly; it was because certain lines and paragraphs were so well written I had to keep rereading them. I would get images in my head to play like a movie and I kept having to put the book down thinking 'am I ready to pick it back up again' 'am I really honestly ready in finding out what happens?' This is a romance novel, but more than that..its..twisted, and horrific and funny in the right parts, and romantic in the right parts..and..honestly its one of the best things I've read in a long long time.

This enchanting novel was definitely not what I had expected when I picked it up....actually it was unmeasureably better! A touching love story which spans centuries, I was deeply drawn to the acts of faith and the faithless.
